Mark Peter Wright, Leverhulme Trust Artist-in-Residence at Manchester Metropolitan University during 2017, situated across Education and Geography departments with Principle Investigator Dr. Michael Gallagher.
During the residency Mark will be exploring two distinct strands of research and artistic production; Strand 1: The dismantle, disruption and detuning of ‘our’ sonic environment, and Strand 2: The development of an Extra-Human Hearing strategy. A third area, called Listening to Learning, is a more reflexive anecdotal strand, which endeavours to hear the process, methods and infrastructures involved in relation to listening and education.
