In this edition of BBC Radio 3's Late Junction, Fiona Talkington presents a programme of adventurous music, including recordings from Peter Cusack's favourite sounds project, recorded as part of Hull City of Culture 2017. Since 1998 the favourite sound project has aimed to discover and celebrate what people value about the soundscapes of the cities, towns and neighbourhoods where they live and work.

Led by staff from the Sussex University Digital Humanities Lab, the day-long workshop introduces students to cataloguing and structuring audio-based material using source material supplied by the oral history collections from the University of Sussex Archive of Resistance Testimony and CRiSAP archival material as test cases.
