Bristol Re:sound

6 March 2020

Various locations in Bristol

A day of free creative workshops, installations and performances.

Bristol Re:sound is a sonic exploration of the relationship between the ever-changing and diverse makeup of the city’s inhabitants and the emergence of new creative technologies.

As part of the days events, CRiSAP Doctor Jono Gilmurray of BIMM Institute will be leading two Sound Walks:

Sound walks emerged in the 1970’s as part of the work of the Vancouver based world soundscape project. Participating in sound walks provides an opportunity to hear the sound environment in a different manner, one that attunes the ear in a more focussed way and enables a much deeper connection to our sonic surroundings. There will be two sound walks that have been composed by 3rd year degree students of electroacoustic music and the BIMM Institute.
