SONIC SCREEN

Wednesday 26 May 2021, 2pm – 3pm

Online, MS Teams – Contact Thomas Gardner for link

*Open to LCC’s Screen School Staff*

SONIC SCREEN is a space for LCC’s Screen School Staff to talk about and share their own work with colleagues. This can be work in progress, prospective ideas, dreams of future work or finished research. It can be presented informally, creatively, performed or powerpointed. The format is up to you. Each month two people will take 20 minutes each allowing for 20 minutes discussion afterwards.

This May Ray Kilby and David King will be talking about their research:

David King’s research and practice is in game design and experience, focusing on small experimental projects which explore minimal interaction and systems.
Ray Kilby: “The delivery of drama content on screen is changing the way we tell stories. The advent of the multi singular audience has cut the umbilical of a shared theatrical experience. With this in mind, when commissioned to turn a performance with particular parameters into a film, the challenge to look at the way it could be presented was something that I couldn’t resist” -RK.

SONIC SCREEN is co-ordinated by Brad Butler & Thomas Gardner. Events take place monthly on the last Wednesday of each monthTo propose a presentation please contact Thomas and/or Brad directly.
