Throughout March 2021 all 6 UAL Colleges will host activities for staff and PhD students reflecting the richness and diversity of ongoing research at UAL. Our events will look into Black Lives Matter, climate change, COVID-19, decolonisation, intersectionality, and sustainability.

Meet the Centres
24 March, 12-3pm | Public event
At Meet the Centres, CRiSAP Director Prof. Cathy Lane will present on the latest research directions of CRiSAP. This presentation will focus on how the rise of listening as both a subject of study and a creative methodology unites CRiSAP’s research areas and relates them to environmental change, health and wellbeing and community resilience.
Hear from Cathy and the research centre Directors from all of the UAL centres, discussing recent research and exploring the UAL research strategy themes.

CRiSAP Soirées
10 March, 7-9pm and 25 March, 7-9pm | UAL staff & Students only
CRiSAP researchers past and present will discuss research issues and topics within sound arts practice. These two soirees are part of a series revolving around the various and many interpretations of what “Accessibility “ might mean to us and our research.

Acts of Air – exhibition and workshop
Exhibition: ongoing throughout march | Workshop: 19 March, 5-8.30pm | Both are Public events
CRiSAP’s participatory online exhibition ‘Acts of Air’ invites you to reshape your urban sonic present by enacting 14 sound works directly in urban spaces. Each work offers a variety of means to explore and interrogate our cities of sound.
Join curator Lisa Hall and the Bartlett Doctoral Network’s Sound Making Space in an online workshop to perform the artworks together in our local urban spaces.
