Cathy Lane and Viv Corringham are Artists in Residence at The Indian Sonic Research Organisation this Spring.
The Indian Sonic Research Organisation is a collective of instrument builders and artists dedicated to the proliferation of experimental music and sound art. They experiment with old and new technologies including DIY and home-made instruments made with discarded electronics and found objects. They run a community music lab where they make, perform, teach and collaborate through workshops, performances and artist residencies. Their independent record label disseminates works by Asian composers, sound artists and musicians from India and abroad.
During the residency Cathy and Viv are leading workshops and touring performances that include Sounding Space: Sound in Space and Am I here? + Shattered Song, Shadow City
